MEMBER EDUCATION - INTRODUCTION to Driving in the Motion Picture Industry with Rick Pearce

Ricky P

Member Education Committee
Chair: John Cassini   Co-Chairs: Angela Moore, Shawn Macdonald

Rick started pursuing stunts in 1982. Like many stunt drivers, he learned the dos and don’ts of driving, whilst driving BG and SAE in his own vehicles on set.

Rick started The Reel Stunt Driving School, initially located at the Vernon Speed Way in 2008, after taking stunt driving courses in LA. Having his driving school in Canada allowed fellow stunt performers a more viable option to learn stunt driving locally. Now located at Mission Raceway Park, his school has taught hundreds of students over the years and has produced some of Canada’s top stunt drivers

Rick also works as a Stunt Coordinator, where he continues to teach actors and stunt performers how to drive safely and hit their marks on set.

Course Description

The Reel Stunt Driving School is hosting an “Introduction to Driving in the Motion Picture Industry Course” that is geared towards any performer who drives their own vehicle, or a production vehicle on set for filming purposes. This course is designed to build confidence and competence for Background Performers, SAE drivers, Actors and Stunt Performers so they can perform well and safely in front of camera and behind the scenes.
