Richard Bradshaw’s final but never truly farewell flourish!

R Bradshaw
Dear loving family and friends

Richard Bradshaw’s final but never truly farewell flourish!

As you know he liked a show so here is his 3 part dramatic performance. No need for black attire, bright colours and celebration of an epic life is what is required.

Monday 22nd of August at 2.30pm we will have Richard’s funeral at celebration hall mountain view cemetery 5445 Fraser street Vancouver.

This I’m hoping will be live streamed (10pm UK time). He didn’t want flowers at the funeral but any donations to the VGH respiratory and lung unit would be welcome. The capacity of the hall is 100 seated plus some standing, so come early if you want a seat but there is also standing room in the foyer.

The wake will be held after the paddle out to scatter his ashes in Deep Cove. The paddle out will be Sunday 28th August meeting at Little Cates Dollarton, Deep Cove from around 1pm for an approximate 2.30pm launch and 3pm water scattering near jug island. Note parking is limited but walkable from big cates car park - car pooling would be good. Bring your own boat, kayak, paddle board and any flowers, petals or other organic matter you wish to pass into the water. We have chosen an eco-friendly cremation Service that uses no chemicals which will  keep the waters pure and celebrate Richard’s passion for the environment - for anyone in need of assistance with water transportation contact Fraser Corbett +1 (604) 312-5254. Deep cove Kayak has hires available if you want to paddle with us book early or Fraser has some boat spaces/hire contacts. This will be filmed by a drone for global audiences and shown on Facebook and also at his UK memorial.

The paddle out will be followed by the wake (a bbq/ picnic in little cates park.) Please bring your own booze/ nibbles and we will hopefully provide a food van. We want to celebrate Richard’s passion for adventure, the outdoors, nature and friendship.

For those in the UK save the date of Sunday 4th September for his memorial somewhere between London and the Cotswolds venue and time to be confirmed. We will be doing both a UK and Canada slideshow of photos/ videos so anyone who has special pictures/ videos of or including Rich please send them to me via Richard’s or my phone. We can’t guarantee we will fit them all in but will try to do lots

Lots of love Rachel.
